Calvario 2012

A subtle, silky, mature wine with an irresistible nose and richly satisfying on the palate, which combines to perfection the Finca Allende powerfulness and elegance. It appears a dark Morello cherry colour, very intense and almost opaque. The nose exudes an aroma of great intensity, and in the foreground black fruit verging on the over-ripe, which prevails over the oak, with balsamic wafts and hints of black chocolate also appreciated. It has good structure on the palate, the right amount of acidity, a fine fruit expression and remarkable powerfulness, all combined with great elegance. Aged for 14 months in French oak barrels.
