Dominio de Atauta Llanos del Almendro 2017

Unlike other Atauta wines, Llanos del Almendro originates from younger vines, planted in 1941 with a variety of Tinta Fina grafted onto American roots, grown in a 2.5 ha. parcel. It is the only terroir not to have a calcareous layer in its soils and one that produces powerful and concentrated wines, as the other terroirs do, but these wines require “taming” in barrel in order to obtain their harmonious and orderly character, and a distinctly individual touch. Aged in French oak barrels.
