Enate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2021

Enate Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2020 is a red wine produced in the Somontano region of Spain by the Enate winery. This wine is a balanced blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, coming from estate-owned vineyards located at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified separately in stainless steel tanks, with alcoholic fermentation lasting between 20 and 30 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is then aged for 6 months in 225-litre French and American oak barrels, and then refined in the bottle for 12 months before release. This wine has a medium purple colour with ruby edges. On the nose, it offers elegant notes of red and black fruits, combined with aromas of undergrowth, flowers, toast, and hints of black pepper, roasted coffee, vanilla and balsam. On the palate, it is pleasant and round, with a smooth body and good balance. The tannins are ripe, with adequate acidity and a slightly bitter finish, making it ideal for pairing with meats, cured meats and elaborate dishes
