Izadi Blanco Selección 2022

The Izadi Blanco is made from the star grape among Rioja white varieties, the Viura, and and different percentages of Riojan white grapes such as Malvasía, Garnacha Blanca, Maturana, Tempranillo or Torrontés. It ferments in new oak barrels and ages in them for three months in contact with its lees and frequently undergoes battonage. Have no fear regarding the oak: at Izadi the oak never detracts from the fruit, but bestows complexity on it, and with this white you'll enjoy an extremely fresh wine, with a very clean nose and very elegant unctuosity, a glyceric mouthfeel and considerable freshness. It's an open, refined, most pleasant wine that has a touch of sweetness, no doubt supplied by the Malvasía, truly gastronomic, perfect for rice dishes come summer or autumn!
