José Pariente Cuvée Especial 2022

José Pariente Cuvée Especial 2022 is a white wine made from Verdejo grapes sourced from nearly century-old vineyards in the Rueda region of Spain. This wine reflects a quest to create an original and different Verdejo, using innovative winemaking techniques in oval concrete tanks and following organic farming practices. It has a straw yellow colour with greenish tinges, bright and clean. On the nose, it offers subtle and elegant aromas, highlighting notes of white and citrus fruits over a very elegant mineral background, with balsamic touches. On the palate, it is a wine of great complexity, with an impressive smoothness and a silky texture that adds elegance. The mineral notes stand out again, providing a long and pleasant finish. This wine is made from grapes selected by hand in 20 kg crates. After a second selection in the winery, the grapes are macerated at low temperature for 12 hours before fermenting in concrete tanks. Ageing on the lees adds depth and complexity to the wine. José Pariente Cuvée Especial 2022 is ideal with baked and grilled fish, fish stews, rice dishes, Iberian ham, cheeses and white meats. It is recommended to serve between 7 and 10 degrees Celsius to appreciate all its qualities.
