The best description for this wine would arise from seeing the expression on the face of someone who has just tried it and found out how much a bottle costs: less than a fiver. Disbelief at first, followed by astonishment, and finally admiration. If the first impression it gives proves positive, with the wine adjudged good, very fruit-forward and expressive, a mature wine with pleasant nuances from oak-ageing, creamy, spicy, sweet notes… on learning the price, the conclusion is eminently clear: excellent value for money, a fine blend of Garnacha Tintorera and Monastrell, two varieties indigenous to the Almansa region.
