Grapes sourced exclusively from the south-west facing slate slopes of the Mas d'en Blei estate. Ripeness checks are carried out to ensure harvesting takes place at the optimum moment, which is done manually using 10 kg boxes. After the first manual selection, the grapes are destemmed, and a second selection is made, berry by berry. All production up to the coupage is carried out separately for each variety and plot of origin. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes undergo a 24-hour cold pre-maceration. Fermentation is long, lasting 20 to 24 days, with daily manual punching down using indigenous yeasts. It is aged for 14 months in 225-litre French oak barrels, which are fine-grained and medium-light toasted, and then for a minimum of 18 months in the bottle to achieve the right level of maturity. This is a wine with ageing potential due to its complexity. A technical wine that will keep well in the bottle and can be enjoyed in good condition over the next 5 years. This wine expresses the characteristics of the territory very particularly. It has a cherry colour with a violet rim. On the nose, it is fresh with well-integrated aromas of slightly ripe fruit, notes of wood and mineral hints. On the palate, its freshness, round tannins and lively and fun mouthfeel stand out, with fine notes of ageing and very well-integrated fruit.
