Undoubtedly, a magnificent wine for entering into the unique world of Peter Sisseck, one of the wine makers who has done most for the Ribera denomination in recent times. This great oenologist is looking to offer here a fresher and more fruit-forward wine profile, without the concentration which characterises his highly-esteemed Flor de Pingus and Pingus. This is probably the reason why several well-respected critics, such as Luis Gutiérrez from Robert Parker’s team, admit to having recalled the old vintages of Tinto Pesquera on sniffing this wine. Its elegance and its character of an open and generous red, yet with ageing capability, are something very difficult to find among today’s red wines.
