Tragolargo, as the name itself indicates, is a pleasant and easy to drink wine that expresses with its youth the freshest character of the Monastrell grape. From the Casa Balaguer estate, in Villena (Alicante province), it is capable of transmitting Mediterranean maturity but also maintaining freshness, thanks, in part, to a slightly premature harvest. The grape must fermented, driven by wild yeasts, with 30% of the scrape and was bottled without any aging in wood. Thus, it is easy to understand both its juiciness and its enormous fruit load. Tragolargo is a jovial and pleasant wine, a monastrell with a fresh profile obtained from young vines and partially whole grapes that was bottled without added sulphites. It gives off aromas of cherries and thickets, of blackberry leaves and spices. Remember the humid earth and even the elegant vegetable aromas of wines from northern latitudes. It is not a wine that can boast of great complexity or an exceptional bouquet, but it is an attractive wine, easy to drink and with which to enjoy without waiting for a special occasion. Its fine tannins and balanced acidity ensure that it will work perfectly with countless dishes and that it can be kept in the bottle for a long time without losing an iota of its natural flair. Furthermore, it has an unusual virtue in wines of such a restrained price: it is capable of clearly transmitting the character of each vintage; It is fascinating to confirm that in warm vintages the wine offers ripe sensations, while in colder or rainier vintages its character is lighter.
