Corimbo I 2017

Bodegas Roda presents its new Ribera del Duero wine, with a name that follows the same pattern as its Rioja wines (Roda and Roda I). This is a dense red, full-bodied, mature, with an abundance of black fruit and some quality tannins that augur a particularly good evolution in bottle, if we are prepared to wait a few years. Naturally, the first bottle will be hard to resist, and an absolute delight; Corimbo I is a most pleasant wine, fresh, with balsamic notes, and elegant. A cherry-red colour with a garnet rim, the nose releases ripe fruit aromas along with mineral and spicy hints. Voluminous and flavoursome on the palate, it exhibits balsamic and toasty notes, with ripe tannins. Aged for 16 months in French and American oak barrels.
