Paco & Lola Prime 2020

Ever since it was set up in 2005, the Paco & Lola winery has always been considered a daring and modern winemaking project. The polka-dot design of its labels has swiftly become a synonym of quality and personality, and the company is now one of the most well-known producers in the DO Rías Baixas. Few people other than those working there would have imagined that a cooperative from the region of O Salnés would one day become one of the largest and most important wine producers in the historic appellation of Rías Baixas. But Paco & Lola knew it from day one — the quality of the Albariño grape would be the strength behind their success. An excellent example of their wines is the Paco & Lola Prime, a single-variety Albariño made from the free-run juice of grapes from carefully chosen vines growing in granite soils. The lees are worked every week so that their texture surrounds the palate with velvety and comforting sensations. A straw-coloured wine with aromas of peach, ripe citric fruits, and lees spreading around your mouth which, alongside a fine salinity and good level of acidity, make it an excellent partner for sushi, fish, and other seafood. A limited-edition premium wine made using grapes from the oldest vineyard the winery owns.
