Viladellops Xarel·lo 2023

Right in the heart of the Garraf Massif lies the town of Olérdola, in the Lower Penedès. The winery Finca Viladellops is located there, deeply rooted in the locality and committed to sustainable organic farming. Owner Marcelo Desvalls was one of the first to promote the Xarel·lo variety in the production of still white wines after Carles Esteva. This has resulted in some very elegant and fine wines, with his range of two Xarel·los following the Bordeaux concept of first and second wine. The second wine, has Xarel·lo grapes from the same parcels as are destined for the first wine, the Finca Viladellops. This one has had no contact with wood, and exhibits a lovely youthful palate, full of finesse.
